Nei Ching Center is a Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts Home dojo. We are steep in history and tradition being one of the oldest dojos started by students of GrandMaster Dong's originating class here in the United States. Cuong Nhu was founded by Grand Master Ngo Dong in Hue,
Vietnam in 1965 and brought to the US in 1971. Nei Ching Center runs under the guidance of Sensei Dan Flagler and Sensei Hannibal Burton. We also have several other Black Belt and student instructors. We teach both children and adults from beginner to advanced ranking. Cuong Nhu is excellent for increasing one's physical attributes such as flexibility strength, cardiovascular capacity, and cooordination. It is also an ideal form of stress management and recreation. We teach you how to meditate and increase self-awareness as well as how to increase your focus and utilize your internal energy. Coung Nhu enhances discipline of mind, body, emotion and spirit using a complete approach to help one realize their potential physically and mentally. The Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts Association (CNOMAA) is a non-profit organization, Emphasis is placed on discipline, learning, development of one's self and the essence of the art. You will not encounter the higher fees that you normally would with some other organizations. However Should you decide to become a student you will be required to pay annual dues and minimal testing fees. Given a consistent level of training and enthusiasm one can earn a Black Belt in approximately 4 years, however the timing varies per individual basis. While testing is periodic and encouraged it is based upon one's development rather than time as a student or seniority. Children are tested on a more frequent basis in order to better segment stages of development as well as motivate training ethics. All students are required to wear a white gi (uniform) with their name and Cuong Nhu patch. All classes are conducted in an orderly manner and discipline, courtesy, and respect are not desired but required. We welcome all to come and observe and join our dojo.
